Before my great grandmother passed, I spent most of my time after school with her. On days when I didn't have lots of homework, I would lounge on the couch and catch Saved by the Bell. She would always tell me "an idle mind is the devil's playground". That was code for: get up and find something productive to do. I've taken that mantra into adulthood. I like to keep myself busy to ward off overthinking and the occasional binge watching. I seem to be more productive when I'm busy, but I've notice something. This year is literally flying by and I've forgotten about some of the goals I set in January.
This past weekend, I took the time to catch up with one of my good friends and realign myself with my goals for the second half of 2016.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch courtesy of UberEats and then headed to the pool. Luckily, it was the middle of the day and most people were still at work so ended up having the entire pool area to ourselves. Score!
The temperature was just right, our computers were fully charged and Chance the Rapper was on repeat. Perfect day!
