New Orleans, Louisiana

This weekend, I was blessed to witness one of my college friend's wedding. The ceremony and the reception were absolutely beautiful. It was also great to see all of my friends in one place.

Lauryn is the definition of a #modern bride- she lives life on her terms and her wedding was no different. All of her bridesmaids wore ivory, and she wore a sparkling blue ballgown. She was stunning!

She's a native of New Orleans so it was only right that a Second Line band came through to help celebrate at the reception. You can see footage on my Instagram.

The entire weekend was filled with laughs and happy tears. Between the celebrations I had a chance to stop by the French Quarter to get a few pictures.

I also got a chance to visit a friend out in New Orleans East. It's an area of the city that's still recovering from the flooding in 2005. We came across an amazing mural on the side of an abandoned building. It was once a movie theatre. It now stands vacant- a terrible reminder of what happened to this city when the levees broke. The "Peace Wall" is a dope representation of the city. It will always be a colorful, bright and larger-than-life!
