If you haven't picked up on it yet, I love the South. I love being from the South. I love everything that the South has to offer. (I'm not a fan of the South's history which is laced with bigotry and hatred- but that's a blog post for another day).
Atlanta, Georgia is a major city. But, if you look hard enough, you'll find small communities that serve as convenient escapes from the hustle and bustle of the metro life. Tucked away in Atlanta are beautiful waterfalls, nature preserves and the occasional goat farm. Seriously. If you've ever been to the city, you've probably passed them and didn't even know it. Today I want to share my newest favorite charm - Serenbe.
Serenbe is a community right off of I-85 that includes beautiful homes, a perfect little bed & breakfast, a playhouse and a farm. It's developing quite nicely and I was really excited to check it out. When we drove up to the property, I was overwhelmed with nostalgia. It reminded me of the summer camp I went to in Eclectic, Alabama. The trees were so tall, the grass was so green, and everyone was super friendly.
While exploring, we ran across the dopest school bus I've ever seen. It was in the middle of an open field and was practically calling our names.
I can't wait to go back and really see everything that this country oasis has to offer!
