Two-time Grammy-nominated producer ATL Jacob, one of Freebandz’s most notorious in-house producers, has produced over half of the tracks on Future’s record-breaking I Never Liked You, and today took the #1 spot in Billboard’s Hot 100 Producers chart. The producer, who met Future in high school and has been collaborating with him ever since, shows no signs of slowing down, with all nine of his produced or co-produced I Never Liked You tracks charting on Billboard Hot 100. He’s also credited as a songwriter on all nine tracks, and holds the #2 spot on the Hot 100 Songwriter chart, second to Future. A proud Atlanta native and hometown hero with love for his city, ATL Jacob today also announced a $10,000 donation to his high school band, Creekside High School in Fairburn, GA. I Never Liked You launched at no. 1 on the Billboard 200, with “Wait For U” featuring Drake and Tems debuting at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, which ATL Jacob co-produced with Grammy award-winning production duo FnZ (Finatic N Zak). In Future’s words, “soon as I heard the Tems sample over ATL Jacob [it] instantly connected to my soul.” The producer told Complex of the collaboration, “[Future] knew it was one of his favorites. He said he listened to that beat every day for a month straight, without rapping or nothing. He was just listening to the beat like it was a song for a month straight, and he knew what he was going to do to it. [This album] is definitely my favorite, just because of how balanced it is. It’s like we didn’t, we didn’t try too hard. We just had fun.” ATL Jacob’s continued success includes production for Lil Baby’s new single “Right On,” as well as contributions to Kanye’s Donda, which topped the Billboard 200 albums chart upon its release. He was also a key producer on Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s chart-topping album, “The Voice of Heroes,” and helped break-out sensation Kali jump start her career with her hit single “Mmm Mmm.” Other production credits include Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, Juice WRLD, NAV, Lil Yachty, Playboi Carti, Moneybagg Yo, King Von, Lil Keed, Roddy Rich, Meek Mill and more. He’s gearing up to drop a track with Gucci Mane tomorrow, and fans can stay tuned for announcements on his own project – which will guarantee some guest appearances from his friends – coming out later this year.
